||
| This is our class. Our teacher's name is Raymond Logue. Check out our new website! Our part in the InterLink project has already been covered by articles in the Belfast Telegraph (the main newspaper sold throughout N. Ireland) and the Derry Journal (our local newspaper). | ||
| We are twinned with Opotiki College in Opotiki, New Zealand. Check out their brand new website, too! | ||
|
Here is our message to Opotiki:
Dia Daoibh, A Chairde, BeannachtaÌ Û
Dhoire, in Iar-Thuaisceart na híreann.
Greetings to all our Interlink friends from the
staff and pupils of St. Peters High School, Derry, N. Ireland. We are
delighted to have this opportunity to share some aspects of our
home and school life with fellow students from the other side of
the globe, and we look forward to learning about life in New
Zealand.
We are a school which draws students from all areas of our city,
but mostly from the Creggan Estate and Bogside. The school is
'pupil-driven' and works to ensure that all students are enabled
to develop their talents to the best of their ability, be it
academic, sporting, artistic or technical.
Our school motto "Partnership and learning" illustrates the
links we have forged with our local community, the business
sector and in particular with parents and students.
Our school crest consists of a Celtic cross and a star. The cross is a symbol
of Christ and the star signifies guidance and instruction. The crest is
influenced by that of the Brothers and forms part of our educational
inheritance.
Tá áthas orainn a bheith páirteach le scoileanna eile ar fud an domhain san obair nua, speisialta seo.
(We are delighted to be fellow participants with other schools throughout the world in this new and special project. |
