Here is our message to Tikipunga:
Greetings fellow Interlinkers and welcome to the Deanery High School Web pages. I hope that you are awaiting the start of this project as eagerly as us. We are hoping that the project is the start of a new generation in education links and that the opportunities it provides for all the participating students will help in their future understanding of each others country, people and culture.
We are an 11-18 co-educational Church of England High School and Technology College near Wigan town centre. The school has 1634 students and is the largest Church of England school in the North of England. Our school values the worth of the individual and aims to maximise their potential in whatever area they excel, be it sporting, artistic, academic or vocational.
We are keen to participate in the project so that we can gain a greater understanding of the varied nature of the world in which we live and hopefully play our part in the technological revolution taking place in education.
