This is what we think about NZ:
- It is about the same size as Britain.
- Made up of TWO islands, that are not attached to other countries.
- NZ is in southern hemisphere, not too far from Australia. It also not too
far from Antarctica.
- We think that you look like us but with a sun tan.
- You will probably speak English, with an accent, and possibly some native
language.
- Traditional costumes caused a stir... we think you probably dress like
Crocodile Dundee in Bermuda shorts and a hat with corks dangling. (We are
not too sure what the females will wear - someone did suggest grass skirts !).
- NZ is less than 200 years old being settled at about the time that Capt. Cook discovered the islands.
- NZ has high mountains but is also like here, with rolling hills and lots of
greenery.
- The weather will be similar to here but colder in winter and warmer in
summer that's why you wear shorts and are suntanned.

This what we think about England:
- England is probably as big as South Island and Stewart Island put
together. England is not an island. It is probably more than one island. England is attached to other countries.
- It is in North Western Europe. The population is one hundred million.
- In England there are Black people and White people. We know some of your people imigrated to New Zealand heaps of years ago.
- We guess that the your countryside looks a bit like New Zealand's
countryside, ie Forests, Farmland, National Parks.
- We think your climate is a lot like Invercargill's, cold in the winter and hot in the summer.
GROUP 2 (Nanettte)
- Britain is more than twice the size of NZ and consists of two main
Islands in Western Europe. With low and rolling countryside enduring
a moderate climate, like ours.
- The population is around 40 million, white, with others thrown in for a
good mix.
- You have an obsession with tea, and speak the English and
Gaelic languages.
- A populace lived there way before the Romans invaded. It has always been
involved in a war of some sort.
- The Industrial Revolution was born there.
- Your sporting culture revolves around Soccer, League.
