WHAT ARE THEY LIKE?

Off the top of your head, without referring to reference books or the atlas, email us a description from your group of your perceptions about the other country.

Try to answer these questions as fully as you can. If your class doesn't know for sure, give it your best guess - we're sure the answers will be very interesting. (In fact, we think it'll be very funny to see what we think of each other at this early stage!) At the end of the project, in July, we'll do this again to see how much we've learned about Britain and New Zealand. If you have more than one answer to any question, send us all of them - it'll be cool to see the range of impressions we have of each other.

  • How big is the other country?
  • Is it an island? More than one island? Is it attached to other countries?
  • Whereabouts in the world is it?
  • How many people live in the other country?
  • What do the people who live there look like?
  • What language do they speak?
  • Is there a native culture? What do you know about it?
  • What is their traditional costume like?
  • How old is the country? (i.e. how long have people been living there?)
  • What do you know about the history of the country?
  • What does the countryside look like?
  • What's the climate like?
