We think that......
- New Zealand is to the south-east of India
- 1 million people live in New Zealand
- The people who live there have a tan, are big and muscled with blonde hair,
wear hats with corks dangling from them, like surfing and sun-bathing, are soccer and volley ball stars, drive around in open air cars and sporty landrovers, are farmers and love cricket
- They speak English with some different words and an accent
- The native people are the Aborigines
- Their traditional costume is grass skirts, non-sleeved cotton shirts, shorts
- We would say that the country has been known about since the 1500s
- We think that the country has been involved in exporting for a long time.
Sheep shearing and shepherds sitting on hills watching their sheep.
- The countryside is dessert land and loads and loads of sheep, possibly more sheep than people
- The climate is very hot and humid, with tropical storms etc.
Bye for now: Lisa, Mark and Jon
Now take a look at Piopio's responses - see what New Zealand is REALLY like!
