"A DAY IN THE LIFE......"

Lincolnshire
by Sir John Nelthorpe School Brigg

A typical Monday and Saturday

SCHOOL DAYS

Here in England people live in whole range of different houses but they are mostly detatched or semi-detatched. There is a traditional fried breakfast although most eat cereal and toast. We all speak English but there are many different accents and dialects. School begins at 9.00 and through out the day we have 4 double lessons of various subjects English, German, P.E etc. We have a school uniform of trousers, shirt and tie and a school jumper. There are 800 pupils in our school with about 30 in each class. We have a school meal that costs about £1, it usually consists of chips, burgers, sausages, sandwiches etc. School finishes at 3.40 and pupils go home, either by bus or car or on foot.

AT THE WEEKEND

In our free time we like playing sport, going out to the cinema, shopping, maybe doing homework...not, going out with mates,etc... We dress in casual clothes, jeans, t-shirts, jumpers, trainers and a normal outfit would cost about £100.
