Hi it's Ben
On Saturday morning we wake up at about 7.00am and make
breakfast. We race to the kitchen and fry up some bacon and eggs
with some toast. After we have finshed we shine up our rugby boots
(not) and we're in the car with our half woken up parents and off
to the rugby. We play 15 aside and play for an 80 minute game. We
only stop for about 5 minutes at half time. After rugby some
people go home and sleep but if you're like me you go and have a
round of golf. After that if you're lucky you go to the shop and
buy a nice juicy hamburger.
Well that's about it.
By for now. Ben
Hi it's us, Debra and Louise
We have been given the task of sending you our answer to a
typical girls Saturday here in New Zealand, By the way we have
done ours for winter.
On a typical winter's Saturday we wake up at about 6:30am,
depending on what time our game is to be played that day (our
game of course is Netball). After being told several times by
our parents to get up (by the way we are not related but the same
goes on in both of our households) we drag ourselves out of bed
and to the breakfast table, fully dressed in our Netball uniform,
for a good 'ol Kiwi breakfast made by our Mums (if we're lucky)
this breakfast if you don't already know consists of bacon and
eggs on toast, or something similar.
Then we wash up and we are off to Te Kuiti for our Netball game.
It takes Debra an hour and Louise 45 minutes to get there. We
try to get there half an hour before our game starts so we have
time to warm up with the rest of our team. After we have played
our game we are normally rushed back home by our parents, to do
homework or work on the farm. Work can be anything from helping
to move stock to feeding the dogs and changing their water. This
may sound boring but there are alot of fun things to do on a farm
like: riding horses/motorbikes going for swims in a river and
much, much more.
Well that's our typical Saturday, bye for now
Louise and Debra
Happy Birthday for Saturday the 22nd, Clare.
On Friday we have a break for Easter which lasts for five days
after which we return to school for a week and a half. Following
after that we have two weeks off again which is quite an on again
off again situation. So this means that we may not be able to
communicate for quite sometime. We resume Term 2 on April 28.
However we also want to write about our typical school day. On a
typical school day we have all arrived by 8.25 and have to go to
a roll check at vertical form at 8.30. In first period we
usually have Science or Homeroom. Because there are three
subjects taught in the homeroom, everyone seems to be doing
something different. There is always someone on our computer,
either sending e-mail or using the SIR programme to help their
maths or english. In second period the year 9's have PE or their
chosen language and the year 10's have Agriculture and Economics
most often.
Third period the year 9's often have an option class and the Year
10's have their language. Fourth period is mostly Homeroom for
both classes and fifth is the same. The sixth and final period
is often Science. However in the afternoon on Fridays the Year
10's have Community Studies. We have just finished our summer
series which involves things like caving, squash, canoeing etc.
Please wish Abe a Happy Birthday on April 2.
Chow for now,
Shane and Abe
