"A DAY IN THE LIFE......"

I would round up the sheep on getting up at 5.00 am and then milk the cows before getting ready for school.
I wake up at 6.00 am when the sun is rising and the rooster is crowing. I get into the shower and turn on the taps. At first the water is freezing but after a while it warms up.
I would have a shower (all ice cold) and stick on my uniform of trousers over
shorts, double layer of woolly leggings, polo shirt, vest, sweatshirt, jersey, scarf, mufflers, woolly hat, shoes and mittens and go outside into the snow to walk the fifteen miles to school.
At 8.15 am I leave my apartment and walk down my street to catch the double decker bus to school.
I trudge through the snow to the bus stop and freeze to death waiting for the bus.
When I was ready I would hop on my bike and ride down Coronation Street-like street and through downtown over cobblestone streets to my school.
At 9.00 am the bell rings and we go to class where we hand in our milk and lunch
money to the teacher. We have English and French classes first. At break we
play cricket on a pitch which has just been freshly mowed. At lunch time we
go the cafeteria and collect our milk and the Wednesday lunch which is
sausages, potatoes, peas and an apple.
Between spells I make my way through crowded halls to my next class.
After school we would have a game of cricket and then watch TV at home.
After dinner I would go to bed and wake up with snow on the doorstep.
After
school I would go home and do my homework then I would have tea. In the
evening I would listen to music or watch TV. At about 9.00 pm I would go to
bed.
After school I go home,
have something to eat and watch TV. My friends ring me and we meet at the
park to play soccer. I go home for tea and then I go to my bedroom to listen
to some music. I go to bed at 9.30 pm. |
