CALENDAR OF INTERESTING DATES
Create a detailed calendar of how your year looks.
Include on your calendar:-
- School terms (so that we know when some of us are on holiday and others are not!)
- Public holidays
- Bank holidays
- Mother's Day
- Father's Day
- Arbor Day
- Important religious celebrations
- Local show days or events
- Anniversaries of historical events
- First day of hay making/harvest festival
- Parades
Include all the information and dates that are important to the people in your class. Include your class birthdays. You may like to design a "Happy Birthday" surprise that will appear on screen when the birthday person turns the computer on.
Now compare your dates with those of your pair school. Which ones are the same? Which ones are different? Can you figure out why some are the same and others are so different?
