Grrl Sites
Some people believe that the Internet has traditionally been a place explored and developed by more boys and men than women and girls. What do you think about that? Do you think it's true? Why/Why not? How could you find out and count the numbers of different people using the Internet?
What have you noticed about the ways in which boys and girls use computers, the Internet and Information Technology in general? Think about the similarities and differences in your class (if you are a mixed school!) or amongst your friends. Do you think you learn in different ways and/or use IT for different reasons - or is it all pretty much the same?
There are now a lot of cool sites on the WWW designed by and for women and girls. We wanted you ALL to have a chance to check some of them out - there's stuff here for everyone - let us know what you think! What do you think of the sites themselves - and how do you feel about sites designed specifically for women and girls?
If you're interested in finding out more about who uses the Internet and why, visit GVU Center's WWW Survey - as a WWW user yourself, you can also answer this year's questionnaires.
- Christmas Lost & Christmas Found

the other or start with the book first. There is also a section for you to add bits to the story and to make comments at the end.
- Club Girl Tech
A site designed specifically for girls, but which boys are welcome to explore too. Interesting stuff for everyone - from being an inventor to learning sign language - it's an excellent site!
